Here’s a little about me, so you might get a feeling for who I am!

As a queer Vietnamese artist who grew up in the United States, there are times I find myself a little bit disconnected from my family’s culture. My artistic practice centers around the ways my cultural history has affected how I grew up and my relationship with the country my family calls home.

I am interested in visually depicting this relationship with the tactile and textured methods of design, printmaking, and illustration.

In my day-to-day, I have been working as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. And to be honest, I find the most joy in pursuing my independent printing project, where I travel, teach, and engage my community about the slow-form art of relief printmaking.

So if you see anything you like, and think I might be a great fit for your projects, or would like to invite me to do a printing workshop with your local community, please don’t hestitate to reach out.

With love,
kaylyn ngo
